One of those Days

When I was little I used to have 45s. To you younger readers, a 45 was a record made of vinyl that played single songs on this thing called a "record player" . One of the records I had was Winnie the Pooh (who I found out later in life was actually voiced by Otis the Drunk from the Andy Griffith Show) singing about a Blustery Day. I think it actually means windy. But I always thought of it as more of a depressing nasty day. Today is one of those days and it has put me in a funk. I'm not sure if its because the Cats are in the NIT or what but today I have the blues, and I'm having a hard time shaking them. I'll post a song that always seems to cheer me up. Hopefully it will work.

Hope you have a better day today!

I had 45s too. I wonder if those are still around somewhere. I did know Otis did the voice. That's a good piece of trivia to know : )

"Here Comes the Sun" was one of the only trivia answers I got correct last night... and I only knew it because of this post. (partly because when asked about the greatest British band of all time, I always answer "Iron Maiden"). Thanks Phil!

Dave

I was just telling Jonah today about how the biggest thing to do when I was in 3rd grade was to bring your cassette player to school to play your favorite cassettes. You could hear ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk all around the playground as everyone tried to find the start of their favorite songs. Good times!

ps It's only basketball.

I had a Sesame Street workout record and The Carpenters, and that was my total collection.
